Job Description:
- Join our team to gain hands-on experience building skills in threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and information security best practices. Train in cyber defense, penetration testing, and reverse engineering to protect critical systems from evolving threats. A strong path for service members interested in high-impact cyber roles.
The SkillBridge Cybersecurity Intern shall possess the following capabilities:
Training Areas:
- Cyber threat analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Information security policies, frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
- Reverse engineering techniques for malware analysis.
- Tools: Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Splunk.
What You'll Learn:
- Identifying and responding to cyber threats.
- Implementing security controls to protect critical systems.
- Testing systems for vulnerabilities and strengthening defenses.
- Translating military cyber skills to private sector environments.
Qualifications:
- Has served at least 180 days on active duty.
- Is within 180 days of separation or retirement.
- Will receive honorable discharge.
- Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS.
- Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
- Received Unit Commander authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.
- NOTE: SkillBridge interns will not be eligible for any compensation during their internship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits.
