This role is all about making systems that have never been made before. Working with cross-functional engineering teams to define new prototype systems, design electronics that implement them, build them, and validate them. This role requires an engineer who is familiar with a full development cycle, who thrives when distilling clarity from uncertainty, and who can coordinate effectively across organizations, some international. You will be expected lead electrical engineering initiatives by example, drawing upon your previous experience and adapting to the unique needs of the program. As appropriate, you will be expected to manage individuals and guide their work as well as their growth.
BS degree in EE or related field\nExperience designing analog and digital circuits\nExperience with various schematic capture tools, such as Eagle, Altium, or Cadence\nExperience taking system through a full cycle - architecture, design, fab, bringup, debug, characterization\nExperience with standard lab equipment (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers)
10+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering\nFamiliarity with systems that include sensitive analog/mixed-signal circuits, FPGAs, and embedded microcontrollers\nExperience with circuit simulation tools, such as Hspice, LTspice, or Spectre\nSkilled with PCB layout on complex multi-layer boards\nExperience working with multiple cross-functional teams (e.g. software, mechanical, optical) to balance design tradeoffs\nExperience with supporting factory builds and scaling from hand-built prototypes to 1000s of units\nExposure to various system modeling and simulation tools, such as ANSYS, Verilog A/MS, Simulink, COMSOL\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment
