We are on the hunt for a meticulous and dynamic Permanent Payroll Administrator to join our fast-paced manufacturing company. As our Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll deliveries. You will be an integral part of our team, managing all payroll-related tasks, including manual checks, off-cycle checks, levies, child support withholdings, 940/941, payroll tax filings, W-2 processing, year-end filings, timekeeping, multi-state, gross to net, and garnishments.
Responsibilities
As a Payroll Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all payroll operations related to wages, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
2. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
3. Preparing and distributing income statements, tax forms, and benefit enrolment forms.
4. Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries.
5. Maintaining and updating payroll records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
6. Processing off-cycle checks, levies, child support withholdings, and garnishments.
7. Completing payroll tax filings, W-2 processing, and year-end filings.
8. Managing timekeeping systems and coordinating with different departments for timekeeping data.
9. Ensuring compliance with multi-state payroll requirements for gross to net calculations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Payroll Administrator role should have:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a payroll administration role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. Job costing and cost codes are not required but highly preferred
3. Proficiency in payroll software, with a strong understanding of payroll tax laws, levies, garnishments, and withholdings.
4. A strong understanding of 940/941 payroll tax filings, W-2 processing, and year-end filings.
5. Experience with multi-state payroll processing and knowledge of gross to net calculations.
6. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
7. Strong numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
8. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
9. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
