Engineering Support Assistant (Contract) - $20-$25/hr | Austin, TXWe are hiring an organized and detail-oriented
Engineering Support Assistant (ESA) to support product development and manufacturing operations in
Austin, TX. This contract role works closely with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and planning teams to support new product development and ongoing production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project timelines, milestones, and deliverables alongside the Project Manager
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects stay on schedule
- Identify procurement needs and help mitigate supply chain risks such as lead times and part shortages
- Create and maintain part numbers, symbols, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within PLM systems
- Track manufacturing jobs and maintain accurate project logistics documentation
- Follow up on assigned tasks and communicate updates effectively across departments
- Support product prototype builds and transition into volume production
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Self-starter with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing teams
- Familiarity with Agile, Oracle, or PLM systems preferred
