Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

• Partner with grain traders, merchandisers, and agronomy teams to gather, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements
• Lead current-state and future-state process analysis across origination, merchandising, trading, logistics, and agronomy procurement workflows
• Develop BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and use cases aligned to Grain Division priorities
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions across trading, logistics, finance, and compliance stakeholders

Systems Support & Optimization

• Serve as a power user and subject matter expert for CTRM platforms (FIS Kiodex, Openlink, AgTrax, or similar)
• Configure, test, and support enhancements to grain trading, position management, contract management, and settlement systems
• Identify system gaps and present solution options to leadership
• Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and integrations with IT and third-party vendors

Data & Reporting

• Design and validate data flows between CTRM platforms, SAP ERP, logistics systems, and BI tools
• Support reporting for P&L visibility, position reporting, mark-to-market, and hedge effectiveness
• Ensure data accuracy across contract, inventory, pricing, and logistics systems
• Partner with analytics teams to enable scalable, self-service reporting

Project Delivery

• Lead or co-lead technology initiatives from discovery through go-live
• Develop and execute test plans and UAT scripts
• Manage timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications
• Support change management, training materials, and user adoption

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Build strong relationships with traders, hedge desk personnel, and agronomy commercial teams
• Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and vice versa
• Contribute to system governance and best practices within the Grain & Agronomy division

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Systems, Agricultural Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
• 5+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience
• Minimum 2+ years in agricultural commodities, grain trading, or agronomy environment
• Strong knowledge of origination, merchandising, futures hedging, contract management, and logistics
• Hands-on experience with CTRM platforms and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Proven experience writing BRDs, functional specs, and process flows
• Strong workshop facilitation and UAT experience
• Excellent communication skills with both business and technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting a grain merchandising or agronomy trading desk in a cooperative or agribusiness setting
• Familiarity with futures and options markets, hedge accounting, and commodity risk concepts
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud)
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar certification
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Working knowledge of data integration, APIs, or SQL
