Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Specialist

Role: Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Specialist Contract: 12+ months Location: Woodlawn, MD (onsite 5 days a week) 

Provide mission-critical identity and access management solutions for a secure, compliant federal environment.  Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support for Symantec IGA Suite, including Identity Manager and Identity Portal

• Troubleshoot and resolve identity governance and access management issues to maintain system integrity and performance.

• Maintain and optimize IGA infrastructure and architecture through updates, monitoring, and enhancements.

• Configure, manage, and audit privileged access using Privilege Access Manager (PAM) tools.

• Support directory services infrastructure (LDAP, Active Directory) for authentication and identity management

• Ensure compliance with federal security standards and maintain Approval to Operate (ATO) through ongoing assessments

• Develop and maintain project documentation, conduct acceptance testing, and manage deliverables.

• Enhance user interface and reporting capabilities for identity portals to improve usability and data insights.

 Required Qualifications:

• Candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

• Bachelor s degree and 10+ years of relevant IT professional experience

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with the Symantec (Broadcom) Identity Governance & Administration Suite of products

• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, role-based access control, and compliance requirements in a federal environment

• Experience configuring, customizing, and deploying IGA solutions, including workflows, connectors, and provisioning

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex identity and access management issues

• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical topics and interface with the customer consistently

• Strong skills in project documentation, acceptance testing, and deliverables management.

 Desired Qualifications:

• Experience integrating IGA solutions with other identity and access management tools

• Familiarity with federal security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA)

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Java, Groovy) for customization and automation

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific Broadcom certifications

• Good understanding of Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (FICAM) initiatives
