Job Purpose: The Florida Department of State (Department) is seeking a Web Application Programmer for the Bureau of Departmental Information Systems (BDIS). Qualifications Education - Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience. Required Experience This position requires the following experience and/or knowledge: 4 to 6 year of IT work experience in systems analysis, development and engineering in an online environment. Knowledge of and experience with State of Florida information technology standards and processes. Proficient with Microsoft C#.Net, MVC, JQuery, and Responsive Design. Proficient Experience with Test Driven Design and Unit Testing methodology. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with Oracle. Experience with Microsoft Azure. Experience with Visual Studio 2012 and later. Experience using HTML. Experience working in a Waterfall and/or Agile development environment. Strong communication and validation skills. Experience with IT systems and processes, methodologies and their direct implementation to projects. Experience working on multiple projects as a project leader or frequently as the subject matter expert. Goals-oriented proactive team player with the demonstrated ability to multi- task and prioritize in a fast-paced professional environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to garner support from a wide variety of stakeholders. Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills that can make independent decisions within area of responsibility and expertise. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio. Knowledge of PowerPoint and SharePoint.
