Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidates must be within one hour of Woodlawn, Maryland
Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience with a bachelor s degree
Experience with mainframe programming in COBOL (web frame experience is a plus).
A wide understanding of Developing, Designing, Coding, and Testing changes to software applications.
In-depth understanding of project management and software development cycle
Knowledge of advanced debugging tools.
Performing functional analysis, design, and development of IT business using COBOL / JCL/ TSO/Visio/DB2 applications for operations and maintenance as well as enhancement projects.
Performing unit testing and regression testing.
Recognizes, diagnoses, researches and resolves system and design concerns.
Debugs complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines.
Experience in documenting systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a team player.
Must be detail-oriented.
Qualifications:
Must have a master s degree or higher and 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or a Professional IT certificate.
Must have at least 5 years of experience in mainframe Cobol programming.
Experience in JCL/TSO/Visual Basic.
Must have Database experience in MS SQL Server and DB2.
Platforms/Systems: Windows, Linux, UNIX, IBM Mainframe.
Experience with Tools: ENDEAVOR, File Aid, Visio and Excel.
Strong expertise in IBM z/OS environments
Strong experience in IBM Mainframe utilities, CICS, and REXX.
EDUCATION
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
