Job DescriptionWe are hiring a Software Engineer III. This position focuses on providing leadership for highly complex projects related to the development of new systems, architecture, applications or technology capabilities in support of business goals.
ResponsibilitiesArchitects, designs, codes, tests, documents, implements, and maintains complex application programs and interfaces, acting as technical lead on some projects. Provides leadership for highly complex projects related to the development of new systems, architecture, applications or technology capabilities in support of business goals. Performs project planning, system analysis, software design and coding, testing, documentation, implementation and research activities as necessary for software engineering projects. Provides technical support and Oracle application administration, including problem determination and investigation and implementation of upgrades for developed applications within the Oracle applications framework. Participates in client walkthroughs and technical design reviews. Performs or assists in the research and fact-finding to develop or modify application programs. Includes working with vendors to review quality, adaptability and compatibility of their products.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of six years of experience as a Software Engineer III, Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Senior BI Developer, or similar duties under a different job title.
Experience to include six years in each of the following:
- Business software application design, development, integration, and installation;
- Oracle and/or MS SQL database development;
- MS SQL Reporting and business intelligence/reporting;
- SQL;
- PL/SQL;
- XML.
Experience to include three years with each of the following:
- Architecture methodologies;
- Structured analysis;
- Integration techniques; and
- Integrating Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) solutions within an environment.
Experience to include two years using best security practices for developing business reports.
LOCATION: Urbandale, IA, US or work from home anywhere in the U.S.
