This role will work a hybrid schedule coming into the Columbus, Ohio office 2 days (Mondays & Tuesdays) per week. This role will be within Technology Nationwide Financial (NF) Integrated Digital Services (IDS). This is an exciting opportunity to work on the World's #1 CRM Salesforce. We are looking for a Specialist, Software Engineer to work on the Salesforce platform as well as other emerging technologies. As a key technical contributor, you'll work hands-on with a diverse technology stack spanning Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, and cloud-native tools. Your ability to navigate Linux environments, leverage command-line workflows, and apply modern data-integration patterns will be essential as you help shape high-quality, maintainable applications and services. Experience with platforms such as Spring Boot, Apigee, Kafka, Snowflake, Rancher, and AWS will enable you to effectively build and deploy distributed systems that power critical business functions. Minimum Qualifications
4+ years Java development or Salesforce Development (strongly preferred) experience with Apex and building Lightning Components
3+ years experience with SOAP and REST based services.
Highly motivated individual willing to learn and participate in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem solving ability
Experience in all Integration Patterns: API/APIGEE, ETL (Informatica/Talend), Event Streaming (Kafka), and Salesforce APEX

Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
