Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for delivering technical training to staff on facilities maintenance systems, including HVAC, boilers, steam, and fire safety equipment. It also involves conducting facility condition assessments, coaching team members, and supporting recruiting strategies for skilled trades. The position requires strong technical expertise, safety compliance, and the ability to develop and implement training programs to enhance operational efficiency.Job Description

Massachusetts HVAC license - REQUIRED
  • Provides training to hourly and salaried personnel in all areas affecting facilities maintenance operation. Some of these areas include but aren't limited to comfort cooling equipment (AHUs, RTUs, central plant systems), boilers, steam, FA & Sprinkler systems, soldering, and brazing.
  • Team member must be able to work in a team oriented and safety-conscious environment. "Safety First" expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Facilities Recruiting Strategy: Assist recruiters with screening skilled trades personnel in order to determine if their qualifications and knowledge are in line with the hiring manager. Assist the region in developing strategies to obtain and retain qualified staff

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES:
  • Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge - Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Facilities Condition Assessments - Conduct thorough inspections of building systems and infrastructure to evaluate their current condition, identify necessary repairs or upgrades, and document findings with detailed reports and recommendations for maintenance and improvement.
  • Coaching and Developing Others - Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Interpreting the Meaning of Information for Others - Translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used.
  • Deciphering Data or Information - Identifying the underlying ideas, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Documenting/Recording Information - Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form; Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork
  • Interacting With Computers - Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Drafting, Laying Out, and Specifying Technical Devices, Parts, and Equipment - Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.

REQUIRED SKILLS & APPLICATIONS:
  • Massachusetts HVAC License Required
  • Experience: Ten years' experience in Facilities Maintenance or Maintenance Management
  • Education and Training - Knowledge of processes and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for employees and groups; ability to teach others how to do things.
  • Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying processes, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures.
  • Machine Reliability Procedures and Practices-RCM, RCA, Lean, Predictive technologies, Alignment, Planning, Scheduling.
  • Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with others using verbal, non-verbal, written, reading and listening skills;
  • Industrial Health & Safety - Knowledge of industrial safety policies, and procedures. Provide assistance regarding the development, implementation and presentation of training to the site safety department
  • Deductive & Inductive Reasoning - Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense; Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions including finding relationships among seemingly unrelated events or information

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $46.75 - $55.00
