Role Overview

Firsthand AI Developer focused on building automation for asset management middle office reconciliation, exception management, and workflow improvement. Converts business problems into scalable AI-enabled and rule-based solutions that reduce manual effort and improve controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Build AI-enabled automation for reconciliation and middle office workflows.
• Automate cash, position, transaction data reconciliation.
• Develop exception classification, anomaly detection, break prioritization, and root-cause capabilities.
• Partner with business, operations, product, technology, risk, and vendor teams to deliver supportable solutions.

Required Experience

• Software development experience in financial services, investment operations, fintech, or enterprise technology.
• Experience building automation, workflow, data, API, or AI-enabled solutions.
• Knowledge of middle office reconciliation, exception management, matching logic, controls, and straight-through processing.
• Experience with investment data such as trades, positions, cash, transactions, securities, pricing, corporate actions, and reference data.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Strong SQL, data analysis, and data transformation skills.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, integrations, cloud platforms, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and production support.
• Ability to create technical designs, data mappings, workflow diagrams, and runbooks.
• Experience in applying AI, generative AI, machine learning, or analytics to process automation.

• Ability to build classification, summarization, semantic search, anomaly detection, and decision-support capabilities.
• Understanding of responsible AI, privacy, explainability, oversight, auditability, and operational risk controls.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Composer/DAGs, and Secret Manager.
• Experience with Vertex AI Search, Gemini LLMs, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Gemini Flash 3.5, and Gemini Flash-Lite models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of software engineering, AI development, data engineering, automation engineering, or fintech delivery experience.
• Strong analytical, technical design, communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with reconciliation or investment operations platforms such as VestmarkONE, SmartStream, Aladdin, Advent Portfolio Exchange, or similar tools.
• Experience modernizing manual processes through workflow automation, STP, AI-assisted review, or exception management platforms.
• Knowledge of brokerage, wealth management, banking, capital markets, managed accounts, or asset management operations.
