Job Title: Data Modeler
Location: Nashville, TN (Onsite 5 Days a Week)
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join our team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining logical and physical data models to support enterprise data solutions. This role requires strong expertise in data architecture, database design, and data integration to ensure high-quality, scalable data structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platforms.

  • Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and application teams to understand data requirements.

  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and data standards.

  • Ensure data models support data integration, reporting, and analytics needs.

  • Optimize database structures, performance, and scalability.

  • Implement data governance and data quality standards.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data models.

  • Support data migration, data warehousing, and ETL processes.

  • Maintain documentation for data architecture and modeling processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in data modeling and data architecture.

  • Strong experience with ER modeling, dimensional modeling, and normalization techniques.

  • Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).

  • Experience working with data warehouses, ETL processes, and large-scale datasets.

  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Knowledge of Big Data technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop, etc.).

  • Experience supporting BI and analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
