This is a hybrid role in the financial services industry. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. We are seeking an experienced System Analyst to partner with business and technology teams to translate business needs into system requirements and enable delivery of client-facing digital experiences and social impact.

The role collaborates with agile teams, development partners, and technology leads to define user stories, document processes, and recommend system functionality and to translate business needs into clear, actionable system requirements that drive customer-centric digital experiences. The analyst will operate in a customer-centric, data-focused, and iterative environment with an emphasis on communication, collaboration, and measurable outcomes. Rate: $58.00 to $63.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Partner with business and product stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements
Translate business needs into system requirements, user stories, workflows, and functional specifications
Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and technology leads throughout the SDLC
Support agile teams by refining backlogs, participating in ceremonies, and ensuring alignment to product roadmaps
Evaluate system functionality and make recommendations that improve efficiency, scalability, and customer experience
Work across multiple teams in a highly matrixed environment to ensure successful delivery of initiatives
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, documentation standards, and delivery practices

Experience Requirements:

5+ years of project delivery experience in a systems or business analyst role within a technology or software development environment.
3+ years on agile teams delivering digital products. Agile/Scrum experience preferred, preferably delivering digital or web-based products.
Experience with systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes.
Experience with project management in a technology or software development organization.
Experience crafting web-based transaction applications with requirements, stories, and tracking using JIRA.
Broad application and technology knowledge including SQL, use case writing, business process and system workflow documentation.
Superb written and verbal communication with facilitation and presentation skills.
Proven collaboration and consensus-building skills.
Ability to operate at strategic and tactical levels with a results orientation.
Proactive team orientation with the ability to align systems applications to business objectives.
Strong negotiation, communication, and influence skills.
Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Entrepreneurial approach to proposing and leading change.
Experience solving complex business problems and translating them into simple software solutions.
Comfort working in a highly matrixed environment with multiple partners and technical groups.
Strong experience with systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes
Proven success delivering projects in evolving, fast-paced environments
Experience supporting or partnering with project management functions within technology teams

Technical & Domain Skills

Experience crafting requirements and user stories for web-based transactional applications
Hands-on experience with JIRA (or similar tools) for story writing, tracking, and backlog management
Working knowledge of system integrations and APIs
Understanding of SQL, use-case writing, business processes, and system workflow documentation
Exposure to risk and fraud prevention concepts is strongly preferred
Experience with machine learning models or data-driven decisioning is a plus

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required, technology-related field preferred.
Scrum certification (preferred).
