Senior UX Researcher (Qualitative Consumer Research)

We are seeking experienced qualitative researchers with expertise in consumer and experience research. This role focuses on leading and conducting qualitative research efforts that inform member experiences across channels. Candidates must possess a strong research background, with experience extending beyond digital product usability into broader consumer behavior, motivations, challenges, and aspirations.

Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of qualitative consumer/experience research experience
  • End-to-end research experience, including planning, moderating interviews, analysis, synthesis, and reporting
  • Strong expertise in generative, exploratory, and evaluative research
  • Experience with qualitative research methods including:
    • Ethnography
    • Contextual inquiry
    • Concept exploration
    • Co-creation workshops
    • Collaging exercises
    • Semi-structured interviews
  • Ability to synthesize complex qualitative data into actionable insights and compelling stories
  • Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Experience creating reports and recommendations for leadership
  • Knowledge of FigJam, Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint), and Maze
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UX Research, Cognitive Science, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agency-side research experience
  • Consumer research experience within:
    • Retail
    • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
    • Healthcare
  • Experience conducting ideal-state or future-state experience research
  • Strong insight translation skills
  • Data visualization experience
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders
  • Previous financial services experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform end-to-end experience research activities, including planning, conducting, and analyzing qualitative data to inform member experiences.
  • Lead discovery efforts, stakeholder alignment, and methodology development.
  • Execute and moderate qualitative research sessions.
  • Capture, analyze, and synthesize research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Identify patterns and relationships across data points and communicate findings in compelling narratives.
  • Develop written and visual research deliverables.
  • Facilitate debriefs and stakeholder presentations.
  • Provide research expertise and recommendations throughout all phases of research.
