Machine Operator - Wire Recycling Production LinePay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Job Overview:We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our wire recycling production team. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and plays a key role in achieving company goals related to safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:- Set up machines for production (calibration, cleaning, etc.)
- Operate and maintain wire processing equipment efficiently
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain attention to detail in all operations
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Meet production goals (chop rates, changeover times, etc.)
- Attend required training and safety meetings
- Perform basic equipment maintenance
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:- Previous machine operator experience preferred
- Familiarity with PLC/computerized equipment controls
- Manufacturing experience
- Forklift experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools

Working Conditions:This position operates in a heavy industrial environment. Duties may include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in a loud setting. Required PPE includes safety glasses, vest, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots. Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and working on uneven surfaces may be required.
