Senior QA Analyst Salesforce
Location: Chicago, IL (433 W. Van Buren Street, Suite 501S)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (12-Month Contract with Potential for Full-Time Conversion)
Work Arrangement: 100% onsite
What You'll Do
As a Senior QA Analyst, you will be responsible for driving quality across Salesforce platforms and integrated enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing
- Validate Salesforce configurations, customizations, workflows, and business processes
- Test complex integrations between Salesforce and external applications
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts
- Execute API testing and data validation activities
- Create and manage test data, including masking, refresh, and validation strategies
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Support release validation and production readiness activities
- Recommend improvements to testing processes, automation coverage, and QA best practices
Experience
- 6+ years of software quality assurance experience
- 3+ years of Salesforce testing experience
- Experience testing Salesforce Sales Cloud environments
- Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum teams
- Experience validating enterprise integrations and data flows
Salesforce Knowledge
- Understanding of Salesforce architecture, including:
- Objects
- Flows
- Validation rules
- Security models
- Integrations
- Experience with Salesforce sandbox environments and deployment processes
- Proficiency with SOQL for data validation and troubleshooting
Test Automation
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks using:
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Comparable automation tools
- Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as:
- Experience utilizing the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern
- API testing experience using Postman or similar tools
Technical Skills
- Experience with Java, C#, Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages
- Understanding of REST and SOAP APIs
- Strong SQL and backend data validation skills
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as:
- Experience testing Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Experience supporting multi-org Salesforce environments
- Experience with Salesforce migrations or transformation initiatives
- Experience within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of change management and release governance processes
