Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation / Manual Mainframe Tester with strong expertise in Tricentis Tosca to design, develop, and execute automated test solutions for Mainframe applications.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in mainframe testing (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS) along with advanced automation capabilities using Tosca.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.
- Perform functional, regression, system integration, and end-to-end testing for Mainframe applications.
- Automate batch and online (CICS) processes in mainframe environments.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios and automation scripts.
- Validate data integrity across systems, including DB2 and downstream applications.
- Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Maintain reusable automation frameworks and optimize test execution cycles.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results, logs, and defect reports.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables by adhering to QA standards and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Mainframe Testing.
Strong hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca (Test case design, API testing, test data management).
Solid understanding of:
- COBOL , JCL , DB2 , CICS, VSAM files
- Experience in batch testing and online transaction testing.
- Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.).
- Experience working in Agile methodology.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
