Summary

Full-Stack Software Engineer

Location: New York City
Work Style: In-office, with ~1 WFH day per week
Employment Type: Full-time
Focus: AI, Healthcare, Medication Access, Full-Stack Engineering

About Our Client

Our client is building an AI-native healthcare platform focused on solving one of the biggest challenges in specialty medication: access.

Specialty medications are a massive market, but providers and patients face overwhelming administrative barriers across benefits verification, prior authorizations, appeals, patient assistance, pharmacy coordination, payer requirements, and manufacturer workflows.

Our client is building technology that centralizes and automates these workflows so providers can spend less time on administrative work and patients can access life-changing therapies faster.

The company already works with thousands of providers across 40 states and is growing quickly. Backed by top-tier investors including CRV, Menlo, Defy, and BoxGroup, our client is scaling across engineering, operations, provider success, and product to support a rapidly expanding market opportunity.

About the Role

Our client is hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help scale its specialty medication access platform for independent specialty providers.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who wants exposure across the entire stack - from provider-facing features to complex healthcare integrations to AI-powered automation for prior authorizations, appeals, and medication access workflows.

This is a strong fit for an engineer who wants to build an AI-native healthcare product that touches real patients, real providers, and real operational complexity.

What You'll Do
  • Build full-stack product features used by healthcare providers and internal teams
  • Scale integrations that automate medication access workflows across providers, payers, pharmacies, and manufacturers
  • Build AI-powered systems for prior authorizations, appeals, benefits verification, and related workflows
  • Work across multiple AI modalities, including document parsing, voice, browser automation, and workflow automation
  • Own projects from initial idea through architecture, implementation, launch, and measurable impact
  • Partner closely with founders, engineers, operations, and provider success teams
  • Build products that improve access to specialty medications for patients
  • Help maintain a high technical bar across product, systems design, engineering quality, and company culture
  • Contribute to the norms, practices, and standards of an early engineering team

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
  • Proven experience building and maintaining full-stack web applications
  • Strong ability to move quickly and deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-growing, product-driven environments
  • Experience across modern technologies such as Python, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, LangChain, or similar tools
  • Strong product instincts and comfort owning problems end-to-end
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, provider success, and leadership
  • Interest in AI-native products, healthcare workflows, and real-world operational automation
  • NYC-based and able to work from the Flatiron office, with approximately one work-from-home day per week

Bonus Experience
  • Experience in healthcare technology, health insurance, pharmacy, prior authorization, EMR integrations, or revenue cycle workflows
  • Experience building AI-powered workflow automation products
  • Experience with document parsing, voice AI, browser automation, or agentic systems
  • Experience at an early-stage or fast-growing startup
  • Experience building internal tools, provider-facing products, or operational workflow platforms

Why This Opportunity
  • Join an early-stage, well-funded AI healthcare company backed by top-tier investors
  • Work on one of the largest and most painful problems in healthcare: specialty medication access
  • Build technology that directly impacts providers, patients, and access to life-changing therapies
  • Get broad exposure across the full stack, AI systems, integrations, and healthcare operations
  • Work closely with founders and a talent-dense engineering team
  • Own meaningful projects from inception to outcome
  • Help define engineering culture, technical standards, and product direction as an early team member
  • Receive meaningful equity and participate directly in the company's upside

Benefits
  • Meaningful equity as an early engineer
  • 100% premium coverage for health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Opportunity to work in person with an ambitious team in Flatiron near Madison Square Park
  • High-impact role at a fast-growing, well-funded AI healthtech startup
