Role Overview:

As a Data Scientist, you will join a team leveraging petabyte-scale datasets for advanced analytics and model building to enable intelligent, automated systems and improved decision-making.

The team partners with product managers and data engineers to design, scale, and deliver full-stack data science solutions.

This is an opportunity to apply innovative technology to solve complex, real-world problems.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicate findings and methodologies effectively to stakeholders with diverse backgrounds.
Work with high-resolution machine and domain-specific data in the development and testing of predictive models.
Develop and deliver production-ready machine learning approaches to generate insights and recommendations.
Define, quantify, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure successful customer outcomes.
Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams to ensure efficient data storage and support for analytics.

Required Skills:

Strong competency in developing production-ready models in Python or other object-oriented programming languages.
Proficiency with data-access and processing technologies such as SQL, Spark, and Databricks.
Experience creating clear, actionable visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Kepler.gl, and QGIS.
Knowledge of data modeling techniques (normalization, data quality assessment, attribute analysis, performance management).
Experience building machine learning models (regression, supervised/unsupervised learning, probabilistic inference, NLP).
Excellent communication skills: documentation, persuasive writing, proof-of-concept communication, and effective notetaking.
Experience with model validation, bias measurement, and drift monitoring.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with geospatial data search and analysis, geo-indexing techniques, vector, and raster data structures.
Familiarity with remote sensing, GIS tools, and satellite imagery analysis.
Hands-on experience with computer vision models (object detection, segmentation), including tools like Segment Anything (SAM).
Experience with advanced AI solutions (agentic systems, RAG with vector databases, foundation model fine-tuning, production-grade AI deployments).
Portfolio of professional work (publications, patents, project work).
Experience with diverse data structures (time-series, geo-tagged, text, structured/unstructured).
Additional programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Scala).
Experience with simulations (Monte Carlo, Gibbs sampling).
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Sales, Finance).
Strong ability to communicate complex analytical insights to non-technical audiences.
