Role: Healthcare Consultant_Healthcare Product Owner / Product Management

Location: - Irving, TX & Chicago, IL (Hybrid 3 days' Work from Office)

Seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong expertise in Outpatient Clinical Documentation, Epic EMR, FHIR interoperability, and Healthcare Analytics to lead the definition and delivery of a solution that integrates Epic outpatient encounter and clinical documentation data with Kaufman Hall applications for financial and operational analytics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Define product vision, roadmap, and business requirements for outpatient clinical documentation analytics.

Lead discovery workshops with clinical, finance, revenue cycle, and operational stakeholders.

Gather and prioritize requirements for Epic outpatient encounter and clinical documentation data.

Work with Epic, interoperability, and engineering teams to define FHIR-based integrations and data extraction requirements.

Translate clinical workflows and documentation processes into analytics use cases and data requirements.

Support use cases related to: Provider productivity, Service line profitability, financial performance analytics, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), Coding and reimbursement optimization

Define data governance, quality, and reporting requirements.

Manage product backlog, user stories, acceptance criteria, and stakeholder communication.

Act as the liaison between business users, Epic teams, analytics teams, and technology delivery teams.

Educational Qualifications: -

Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.

Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Skills: -

Mandatory skills

Min 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Clinical Informatics professional in healthcare.

Strong understanding of Outpatient/Ambulatory Clinical Documentation workflows. Experience working with Epic EMR (Ambulatory, ClinDoc, Reporting, or related modules).

Hands-on experience with FHIR APIs, healthcare interoperability, and clinical data integration. Knowledge of healthcare data standards including FHIR, HL7, CCDA, and EHR data models.

Experience defining requirements for healthcare analytics, reporting, or data warehouse initiatives.

Strong stakeholder management and Agile product ownership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Epic Ambulatory or ClinDoc experience/certification.

Experience with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) programs.

Familiarity with Kaufman Hall, healthcare finance, or performance improvement analytics.

Experience with Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or enterprise healthcare data platforms.

Understanding of provider productivity, operational, and financial performance metrics.
