Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead / Principal Investigator (PI) to drive the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of advanced data quality and AI/ML solutions for the HawkEye-DQ platform. This role will lead end-to-end development, including secure cloud deployment, data validation frameworks, anomaly detection, and explainability, while ensuring compliance with DoD standards and IL5 requirements.

The PI will work closely with stakeholders, lead technical teams, mitigate risks, and support transition planning for production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the technical vision, system architecture, and solution design
• Oversee development of AI/ML models for anomaly detection and data quality improvement
• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud deployments (IL5-ready)
• Lead integration of systems using APIs, Kafka, and secure data pipelines
• Develop and manage data validation frameworks and rule-based engines
• Ensure model explainability and transparency using industry best practices
• Drive DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and secure code delivery
• Ensure compliance with DoD security standards (RMF, NIST, STIG, FIPS)
• Coordinate with stakeholders, leadership, and cross-functional teams
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and ensure timely delivery
• Support prototype development and transition to production

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, or AI/ML systems
• Proven experience leading technical teams or large-scale projects
• Experience working in DoD / federal environments (preferred)
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and anomaly detection techniques

Preferred Qualifications
