Title: Senior Software Engineer Java / Microservices / Cloud

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with 5 to 7+ years of expertise in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and high-performance enterprise applications. In this role, you will leverage Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka to build distributed microservices architectures, utilizing Azure/AWS cloud environments and MongoDB for persistent storage.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in scalable system design, data streaming, and performance optimization, driving technical excellence across our ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Microservices Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency microservices using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
- Event-Driven Architecture: Architect and implement real-time data streaming and event-driven systems using Apache Kafka.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-native applications on Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
- Database Management: Design scalable data models and manage persistent storage layers utilizing MongoDB and other NoSQL databases.
- System Design & Optimization: Performance tune existing systems, identify bottlenecks, and engineer highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable architectures.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Collaborate on building automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD) and maintaining containerized environments.
- Technical Leadership: Participate in code reviews, mentor junior team members, and enforce best practices in software engineering and clean code standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Core Java & Frameworks: Deep expertise in Java (8 or higher) and core Spring Boot modules (Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Cloud).
- Messaging & Streaming: Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (topics, producers, consumers, streaming configurations).
- Cloud Platforms: Solid experience with Azure or AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2/VMs, Kubernetes/AKS/EKS, Cloud Storage, Serverless).
- NoSQL Database: Proficient with MongoDB (aggregations, indexing, performance tuning, and schema design).
- System Design: Strong understanding of distributed systems, design patterns, caching strategies, and concurrency.
- Tools & Practices: Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
- Communication: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
