TEKsystems is actively seeking a skilled Lead Travel Technician to support commercial low-voltage installations nationwide. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong leadership ability, capable of working efficiently, guiding small teams, and ensuring high-quality installations on fast-paced projects. While candidates from the Nashville area are preferred.
Position OverviewThe Lead Technician will oversee on-site installations, including conduit, cabling, and complex security systems. This role requires expertise in structured cabling, security, video, and low-voltage projects, along with the ability to read blueprints, build pathways, supervise small crews, and maintain high safety and quality standards.
This position offers extensive overtime, consistent travel, and strong long-term potential. Candidates must be open to converting to a permanent role after the contract period.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of 1-3 technicians on commercial installation projects
- Install, terminate, and test Cat6 cabling, security cameras, and related infrastructure
- Install structured telecom cabling, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems
- Build conduit and cable pathways while navigating obstructions and electrical systems
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Install and mount access points, cameras, access panels, fire alarm hardware, and related devices
- Build and install server racks and other network infrastructure
- Run cabling types including Cat6, fiber, coax, and more
- Follow NEC codes for low voltage installations
- Conduct testing and verification for all installed systems
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and project documentation
- Use personal hand tools, cordless drills, punch tools, etc.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
