Physical Network Security Consultant

As a Physical Network Security Consultant, you''ll provide expert guidance, technical leadership, and hands-on support to help our clients assess, design, and standardize their physical security infrastructure. Collaborating closely with project managers and technical teams, you will ensure that security systems are not only operationally effective but also aligned with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment & Validation: Evaluate existing physical security architectures, including access control platforms (e.g., CCure, Phoenix), video surveillance systems (e.g., Axis), door hardware, sensors, and supporting infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
• Standards Development: Assist in defining global physical security standards and reference architectures to ensure consistency, scalability, and resilience across client environments.
• Risk & Gap Analysis: Identify vulnerabilities, limitations, or risks within current platforms and recommend mitigation strategies or upgrades.
• Site Assessments: Conduct detailed reviews of legacy locations to determine standardization, upgrade, or remediation needs, including analyzing system configurations and integration points.
• Design & Planning: Support early-stage project planning by reviewing construction and design documents, ensuring physical security requirements are incorporated seamlessly.
• Integration Support: Collaborate on integration planning between physical security systems and enterprise networks, identity/access management, and HR systems, ensuring alignment with IT security and compliance standards.
• Vendor & Deployment Oversight: Review vendor proposals and solutions to confirm they meet architectural standards and assist in troubleshooting during deployment.
• Technical Advisory: Provide remote reviews, architectural validations, and technical guidance to internal teams and clients’ technical leads.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in physical security technology planning, design, and consulting services within the private sector.
• Bachelor''s degree or higher in a technology-related field preferred.
• Professional certifications in physical security (e.g., PPS, PSP) or networking technologies are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of physical security platforms, networking, and related infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical assessments and deliver strategic recommendations.
