Base Pay Range: $100,698 - $142,068

Position SummaryThe Advanced Applications Engineer plays a key role in supporting the Banner sales team by creating customer solutions for our customers. This position is responsible for supporting Banner products, contributing to the success of company goals. The Advanced Applications Engineer works closely with internal and external sales teams and business units to ensure we meet customers' unique applications. The ideal candidate brings strong critical thinking, problem solving skills and a proven ability to deliver effective solutions. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
What You'll Be Doing This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and individually, staying on top of tasks, and making a meaningful impact across teams and projects. Below are some key responsibilities of the role.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership as a technical expert in assigned product support area.
- Provide detailed technical consultation, pre-sales feasibility and service to Banner Area Sales Managers, Field Sales Representatives, distributors and customers.
- Managing and prioritizing multiple channels of communication including phone, email, chat, and direct sales team inquiries, ensuring consistent, responsive technical service
- Collaborating with Engineering staff to develop technical modifications to existing products to meet unique application requirements.
- Conduct final testing of product hardware, software, and user experience simulations prior to release.
- Review technical publications and training materials for accuracy and content effectiveness.
- Document and relay field application insights to support product development and continuous improvement.
- Assisting with product training for internal and external audiences, both in-person and remotely.

Required- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in applications engineering.
- Experience working within an industrial automation environment.
- Customer support experience
Preferred- Knowledge of wireless, vision, safety, photoelectric, measurement & inspection, and lighting products
- Industrial automation controls including networking and industrial communication
- Developing in Python, C, and Linux environments
- Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, PTC) and web APIs
- Experience delivering product training
- Technical knowledge of electronics & PLC's
- Experience using Office 365, Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle CRM preferred
