Role Summary
Seeking an SAP Convergent Mediation Architect with 8–10 years of overall experience for a hybrid role in Detroit, MI. The candidate will lead end-to-end implementation and solution architecture for SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management), focusing on Convergent Mediation (CM) and Convergent Charging (CC). Key responsibilities include designing high-volume data mediation workflows (batch/real-time data acquisition, validation, enrichment, routing, format conversion), mapping Billable/Consumption items, configuring pricing macros/charge plans, supporting SAP ABAP/Web Services, and writing/tuning Oracle SQL and J2EE applications across Utility, Energy, or Telecommunications environments.

Key Responsibilities
* BRIM & Mediation Architecture: Architect end-to-end SAP BRIM Convergent Mediation workflows; lead design discussions for high-volume usage data acquisition (batch and real-time), validation, enrichment, filtering, aggregation, and routing.
* Convergent Charging (CC) Configuration: Hands-on development using Core, Admin, and BART tools; build Chargeable Item Classes, Pricing Macros, Charge Plans, Mapping/Rating tables, and handle Subscriber Account / Provider Contract integrations.
* Technical Development & Integrations: Develop and maintain custom SAP ABAP, Web Services, J2EE (EJB, Servlets, XML), HTML/JS UI elements, and execute advanced Oracle SQL query tuning and stored procedures.
* Data Flow & Usage Processing: Design usage aggregation policies to assemble complex end-to-end usage records and execute reverse-engineering logic to break down consolidated usage data for downstream revenue allocation.
* Client & Delivery Governance: Act in client-facing architecture roles to interface with business and technical stakeholders, optimize mediation zone performance, and ensure smooth data loads into SAP CC/CI.
Required Skills
* Core Experience: 8–10 years of overall IT experience, with 5–8 years dedicated to SAP BRIM Convergent Mediation and Convergent Charging implementations.
* SAP BRIM Tech Stack: Hands-on mastery of SAP Convergent Mediation (CM), SAP Convergent Charging (CC), Core Tool, Admin Tool, BART Tool, and Billable/Consumption Item Mapping (CI).
* Programming & Database: Strong technical proficiency in SAP ABAP, Web Services, J2EE (EJB, JSP/Servlets, XML), and advanced Oracle SQL tuning/stored procedures.
* Mediation Workflows: Expertise in data acquisition, enrichment, error/duplicate checking, format conversion, merging/splitting, and routing.
* Environment & OS: Practical knowledge of Unix, Windows, JVM, Web/Application Servers, and security programming principles.
Preferred Qualifications
* Industry domain experience in Utilities, Energy, or Telecommunications.
* Proven track record in client-facing solution design and high-volume data performance tuning.
