Description

SAIC is seeking a Lifecycle Management & Procurement Specialist to support the Space Systems Command on a program that directly assists the US Space Force. The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic thinker with experience managing the full lifecycle of critical assets, from procurement to retirement. You will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our teams have the resources they need to support national security missions. This work will be performed on site at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

You will interface with Active Duty, US Government, and contractor personnel to provide top-notch support with a focus on efficiency and compliance. This role requires a blend of supply chain expertise, vendor management, and collaboration to support a fast-paced, high-energy environment. If you enjoy solving complex logistical puzzles, building robust processes, and working with people who care about the mission, this role might be your next adventure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Procurement Management: Drive the complete procurement cycle, from reviewing requisitions and soliciting bids to preparing and managing purchase orders.
  • Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Relations: Monitor supplier performance, ensure strict contract compliance, and build strong relationships with vendors to guarantee mission support.
  • Supply Chain & Inventory Control: Proactively manage and forecast inventory levels, including critical computer and network spares. Analyze utilization and failure rates to predict future needs and prevent shortages.
  • Logistics & Quality Assurance: Track all shipments and take ownership of resolving any delivery or quality-related issues to ensure operational readiness.
  • Lifecycle & Configuration Management: Support the Configuration Management team by delivering inventory-related Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and assist in tracking software licenses to support the system software lifecycle.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance: Maintain highly accurate purchasing records, inventory data, and supplier information. Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and DoD guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a primary liaison, coordinating with task order managers, on-site government personnel, and internal teams to align resources and priorities.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of related experience or equivalent and 4 or more years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, or a related field in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility (must be eligible for SCI indoctrination within first 3 months of start date) and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong working knowledge of SharePoint or other document management and collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or managing inventory in a technical or enterprise IT environment.
  • Experience supporting configuration management processes.

Desired:
  • Experience with procurement and logistics within a DoD or Federal Government environment.
  • Familiarity with software development and integration lifecycles.
  • Experience forecasting supply needs and performing root cause analysis on supply chain issues.
