IT Program Manager IV

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking an IT Program Manager IV to join their team in Mountain View, CA.

Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager IV to orchestrate high-complexity technical initiatives. This is not an administrative coordinator role; we need a hands-on execution leader who understands enterprise architecture and can drive rigor across large-scale engineering organizations. You will be responsible for bringing order to chaos, managing programs that span 40+ engineers, and serving as the primary source of truth for execution status, risk, and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Large-Scale Program Orchestration: Lead cross-functional technical programs involving 40+ engineers, product managers, and architects; Drive the program from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams
* Execution with Rigor: Create and manage detailed program artifacts including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), comprehensive work-back plans, and critical path analysis; You must be able to break down high-level strategy into actionable engineering tasks
* Smartsheet Architecture: Serve as the team's Smartsheet expert; You will not just use templates; You will architect complex sheets with automated workflows, cross-sheet formulas, and high-fidelity dashboards that provide real-time visibility to executive leadership
* Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify risks and technical dependencies early in the lifecycle; Develop mitigation plans and "path to green" strategies before issues impact the timeline
* Technical Partnership: Engage in technical architectural discussions; You must possess the domain expertise to understand trade-offs within enterprise cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform) to validate engineering estimates and timelines

REQUIREMENTS:
* BE/BTech - Engineering (preferably CS) mandatory confirmed with Hiring Manager
* 10+ years of Program Management experience, with at least 5 years at a Senior or Staff level within a technology organization
* Proven track record of managing engineering programs with 40+ active engineering contributors
* Deep knowledge of enterprise systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure); You must be able to understand the "how" of the technology, not just the "when-
* Advanced Smartsheet Expertise: Mastery of Smartsheet is non-negotiable; You must demonstrate experience creating detailed reports, S-curves, Control Centers, and automated executive dashboards
* Methodology Mastery: Expert-level command of program management methodologies
* You must be able to demonstrate how you manage: Resource capacity planning; Milestone tracking vs. actuals; Complex Work Breakdown Structures (WBS); Risk/Issue logs with probability/impact scoring

Preferred Qualifications:
* PMP, PgMP, certification
* Experience leading "War Room" scenarios or turning around distressed programs
* Background in software development or systems engineering prior to moving into program management

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
