PMO Project Manager

Description:
Diversified Systems is seeking an experienced PMO Project Manager to support Wave 2, a complex enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA enhancement initiative supporting one of the Pennsylvania Turnpike's core business applications and numerous interconnected systems, business processes, integrations, and stakeholders.
The selected consultant will provide project governance, leadership, coordination, risk management, resource planning, and delivery oversight across multiple concurrent workstreams. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring initiatives remain aligned with strategic priorities, operational needs, budgets, schedules, and established project management standards.
Current SAP platforms include SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Datasphere, and SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM). The environment also supports integrations with SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics 365, OnBase, Qlik Sense, Kahua, financial institutions, benefit providers, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the activities of internal and external staff involved in multiple IT projects of varying complexity.
- Develop and maintain project artifacts using established project management standards, procedures, templates, and methodologies.
- Build and manage detailed integrated project plans and schedules that capture task-level deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
- Estimate and maintain project cost plans throughout all project phases.
- Plan and schedule resources efficiently to ensure appropriate resource allocation.
- Forecast and support resource capacity planning in a dynamic business environment.
- Establish project governance frameworks with defined roles, responsibilities, escalation paths, and decision-making processes.
- Coordinate with business owners and analysts to define and refine project scope.
- Perform project management duties throughout the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing.
- Conduct lessons learned sessions and identify recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with technology staff, business owners, sponsors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate project activities with System Integrator Project Managers and other related projects across the Pennsylvania Turnpike environment.
- Manage project artifacts and required signoffs.
- Adhere to Pennsylvania Turnpike PMO standards, methodologies, and playbook requirements.
Requirements:
- 10 years of project and project management experience across projects of varying size and complexity required.
- Experience managing integration, scope, schedule, communication, vendor, and risk planning activities required.
- Experience managing high-profile subject matter vendors across on-premises and cloud environments required.
- Experience managing Enterprise Business Solutions, specifically SAP/ERP projects as a Project Manager required.
- Experience managing multi-year projects required.
- Expert-level knowledge and extensive experience creating and maintaining integrated project plans using Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft Project Online required.
- Strong leadership, conflict management, and negotiation skills required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills required.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working within complex cloud-based SAP environments preferred.
- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Datasphere, and SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM) initiatives preferred.
- Experience coordinating projects involving enterprise integrations with SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics 365, OnBase, Qlik Sense, Kahua, financial institutions, and government systems preferred.
