Oracle HCM Cloud Technical Specialist

Job Summary

The client is seeking a highly skilled Oracle HCM Cloud Technical Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Oracle HCM technical development, integrations, HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, SQL, and data interfaces.

This role is primarily focused on the technical side of Oracle HCM Cloud, supporting integrations, data extraction, technical configurations, reporting solutions, and troubleshooting across HCM modules. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing and supporting technical solutions within Oracle HCM Cloud and be comfortable working closely with HRIS, functional, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle HCM Technical Development & Integrations

• Design, develop, configure, test, and support technical solutions within Oracle HCM Cloud.
• Develop and maintain Oracle HCM integrations for inbound and outbound data flows.
• Work with Oracle HCM Cloud integration technologies to exchange data with internal and external systems.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, data issues, interface errors, and production incidents.
• Support end-to-end integration testing, validation, deployment, and production support.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable Oracle HCM technical solutions.

HCM Extracts & Data

• Develop, configure, and maintain Oracle HCM Extracts for complex outbound data requirements.
• Create and troubleshoot extract definitions, data groups, records, filters, parameters, and delivery options.
• Support recurring and ad-hoc employee data extracts for downstream systems and business processes.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between Oracle HCM and external systems.
• Optimize extracts for performance, accuracy, and maintainability.

SQL & Technical Data Analysis

• Strong hands-on experience using SQL for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to investigate HCM data issues.
• Analyze complex employee, assignment, payroll, benefits, or other HCM-related data depending on business requirements.
• Validate data between source and target systems during integrations and conversions.
• Work with technical teams to identify root causes and resolve data-related issues.

Fast Formulas

• Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot Oracle Fast Formulas.
• Support Fast Formulas across various Oracle HCM modules based on business requirements.
• Analyze existing formulas and make enhancements or corrections.
• Perform unit testing and support functional teams during system testing and production deployment.

Reporting & Data Solutions

• Support technical reporting requirements using BIP/BI Publisher, OTBI, HCM Extracts, and related Oracle HCM reporting tools.
• Develop custom reports and data outputs based on business and technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies and data issues.
• Support reporting and integration requirements across multiple HCM modules.

Production Support

• Provide technical support for Oracle HCM Cloud production issues.
• Investigate system, integration, extract, formula, and data-related incidents.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
• Participate in testing, release management, upgrades, and system enhancements.
• Maintain technical documentation for integrations, extracts, reports, and custom configurations.

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Technical development.
• Strong experience with HCM Extracts.
• Strong experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Integrations.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with Fast Formulas.
• Experience with BIP / BI Publisher.
• Experience with OTBI.
• Strong understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud data structures and relationships.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues in Oracle HCM Cloud.
• Ability to work across multiple HCM modules.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with HRIS, functional, and technical teams.

• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Experience with HDL/HSDL.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience with FDI / Fusion Data Intelligence.
