Key Qualifications:
API Integration Engineer to design, develop, and manage integrations across multiple systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building robust, scalable APIs and integrations, with exposure to security and compliance tools like Vanta considered an added advantage.
This role requires expertise in API architecture, system integrations, and secure data exchange, working closely with cross-functional teams to enable seamless connectivity
TypeScript backend/full-stack development
Modern web application architecture and API development
Strong software engineering fundamentals and object-oriented design principles
API Design & Development: Craft clean, scalable, and standardized APIs (REST, GraphQL, SOAP) and define specific endpoints, data models, and request/response formats.
System Connectivity: Integrate standalone software such as CRMs, ERPs, and marketing platforms using webhooks, middleware tools, and custom code to ensure seamless data flow.
Data Mapping & Transformation: Translate data formats between interconnected systems (e.g., mapping JSON to XML or structuring data for databases) to maintain data integrity across platforms.
Security Implementation: Enforce strict security protocols including authentication, authorization (e.g., OAuth, JWT), and encryption to protect data in transit.
Testing & Documentation: Design testing strategies (unit, integration, and performance testing) and maintain comprehensive documentation so other developers can securely utilize and understand the API endpoints.
