IT Business Systems Analyst Confluence Migration

We are seeking an experienced Confluence Cloud Migration Specialist to support the hands-on migration of a Knowledge Base from a legacy platform to Confluence Cloud. This is a tactical, execution-focused role requiring strong technical expertise in Confluence Server and Cloud environments.

You will work closely with the Change and Knowledge Management Lead to ensure a smooth transition of content, templates, macros, and functionality into Confluence Cloud while maintaining usability, branding, and information architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end migration of knowledge base content to Confluence Cloud
• Convert server-based macros, custom HTML, and widgets into cloud-compatible solutions
• Design and optimize page templates for branding, usability, and consistency
• Improve taxonomy, labels, navigation, and information architecture
• Leverage Confluence Cloud features and Rovo to enhance user access
• Test migrated content prior to production deployment
• Replace legacy functionality using out-of-the-box Confluence features where possible
• Document templates, configurations, and migration processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful delivery

Required Skills

• 6+ years of IT Business Systems or Collaboration Tools experience
• Strong experience with Confluence Server and Confluence Cloud
• Expertise in Confluence macros (Server & Cloud versions)
• Solid understanding of Confluence limitations and migration considerations
• Strong HTML and CSS skills for custom formatting
• Experience building branded page templates
• Strong UX/design sensibility for knowledge portals
• Experience with data/content migration and testing
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Confluence migration tools
• Knowledge of plugins vs. out-of-the-box Confluence features
• Familiarity with accessibility and responsive design standards
• Experience working in Knowledge Management or Change Management environments
