Data Center Logistics Technician

A rapidly growing data center operations team in the Chicagoland area is seeking a detail-oriented Data Center Logistics / Warehouse IT Technician to support high-volume logistics, inventory, and IT hardware operations. This role is ideal for candidates with a warehouse or supply chain who are looking to transition into an IT-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assigned tasks independently and escalate issues during high-volume or escalation-based situations
• Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming and outgoing deliveries, including:
  • Purchase Order (PO) receiving
  • Rack Movement Supervisor (RMS) activities
• Execute shipping, receiving, material movement, and inventory management in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Maintain accurate, detailed physical inventory tracking and staging
• Conduct inventory cycle audits and perform data corrections as needed
• Support data center regulatory compliance, certification controls, and audit activities
• Perform secure destruction of Data Bearing Devices (DBDs) following documented procedures and runbooks
• Leverage process knowledge and professional judgment to complete tasks with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in a warehouse, supply chain IT, or logistics environment
• 1+ year of hands-on shipping and receiving experience
• 1+ year of break/fix or hardware troubleshooting experience
• Basic understanding of computer applications and software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Northlake, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
