Role: Oracle WACS Work Management Business Analyst (R2)

Role Overview
The Oracle WACS Work Management Business Analyst supports functional design, configuration, and build activities for Oracle Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS) Work Management capabilities within a utilities transformation program.
This role is hands-on in defining work order lifecycle processes, activity structures, resource requirements, scheduling integration, and cost tracking while orchestrating cross-functional coordination within a hybrid agile model.
The analyst supports electric and gas operational work processes including corrective, preventive, construction, and emergency work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Functional Design & Process Modeling
- Support detailed functional design for WACS Work Management including:
- Work order types (Corrective, Preventive, Inspection, Construction)

- Activity structures (Activities vs Tasks in WACS terminology)

- Work order statuses and lifecycle controls

- Work priority and work classification frameworks

- Labor, crew, and resource requirements

- Cost tracking and charge account structures
- Translate workshop outcomes into:
- Functional Design Documents

- RICE object documentation
- Validate integration touchpoints with:
- Oracle Field Service (OFS)
2. Configuration & Build Support
- Support configuration of:
- Work order types and templates

- Status transitions and controls
-
- Work definitions and preventive maintenance schedules
- Execute unit testing and support SIT/UAT cycles
- Assist in defect triage and resolution
- Support cutover planning inputs for work-related data migration
3. Hybrid Agile Orchestration
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and backlog refinement
- Convert design decisions into actionable user stories
- Coordinate cross-stream dependencies (Asset, Finance, OFS, Construction, etc.)
- Track configuration changes across releases
- Support release-level readiness assessments
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Operational Alignment
- Facilitate focused sessions with field operations, planners, and supervisors
- Ensure alignment with utility operational best practices
- Support development of training scenarios and job aids
- Assist in validation of end-to-end work execution flows
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience with Oracle WACS / Oracle Work Management / Oracle EAM
- Utilities work management experience (electric and/or gas)
- Understanding of work order lifecycle, crew management, and cost tracking
- Experience supporting hybrid agile transformation programs
- Hands-on configuration and testing experience
