The DEC Change & Communications Manager is a key role within the Digital Enterprise Capabilities (DEC) function, responsible for leading and managing internal communications and organizational change initiatives. This role ensures all communication and engagement plans align with the DEC Communications Framework and supports DEC projects across this Pharmaceutical client.
This role currently focuses on communications and will evolve to include significant Organizational Change Management (OCM) responsibilities. The successful candidate will drive communications planning, stakeholder engagement, and change adoption for DEC-funded projects and initiatives in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage internal communications and change initiatives aligned with the DEC Communications Framework.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and collaborate with company’s broader communications team to design and execute communication plans.
- Support project managers upfront by drafting and leading communications across multiple technology projects.
- Utilize and maintain existing communication templates and tools effectively.
- Manage internal communication channels, including coordinating department-wide events such as All Hands sessions.
- Facilitate cross-functional communications within DEC, coaching teams on communication best practices and skills improvement.
- Lead strategic initiatives requiring engagement across all levels of the organization.
- Schedule, lead, and facilitate meetings independently to maintain project momentum and ensure timely task completion.
- Innovate communication approaches by integrating multimedia tools, such as video content production, and incorporate change intervention techniques.
- Collaborate closely with DEC leadership including the SVP, CDO and project leads.
- Flexibly operate across time zones (EST, PST), demonstrating adaptability and a customer-focused mindset.
- Proven experience in organizational change management or internal communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups effectively.
- Experience conducting stakeholder analysis and upfront planning for communications and change initiatives.
- Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking capabilities with excellent follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in multimedia communication tools and content development (e.g., Camtasia, Synthesia, ClipChamp, Unily).
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple time zones, primarily EST and PST.
- Customer-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in regulated industries, including knowledge of cGxP, IT Compliance, SOX, and IT Security.
- Certifications or formal qualifications in Organizational Change Management (OCM), such as PROSCI or APMG.
- Digital dexterity and eagerness to explore new engagement and collaboration technologies.
- Experience collaborating with corporate communications teams in large, matrixed organizations.
- Fully remote position with occasional travel (<10%) to offices or sites in Kent, Cambridge, London, or Dublin.
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate US West Coast meeting times and global team collaboration.
- Start date in early July with a full-time, ongoing contract.
