Industrial HVAC Technician
Wixom, MI | $40 to $50 Per Hour
This well established, respected company in the area is hiring an experienced Industrial HVAC Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical systems. This position suits a technician who works independently, diagnoses problems accurately, and takes pride in safe, high quality work.
Schedule
Full time, with participation in an on call rotation when required.
Compensation
$40 to $50 per hour, plus overtime.
What You\'ll Do
The Industrial HVAC Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, servicing rooftop units, boilers, chillers, air handlers, pumps, cooling towers, exhaust systems, and related controls. This person performs preventive and predictive maintenance, and troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues. The role includes reading wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals, documenting service work, materials used, and recommended repairs, and communicating clearly with customers, supervisors, and other trades. This person follows OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and applicable codes, participates in an on call rotation when required, and maintains company tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Section 608 certification
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Valid driver\'s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work from ladders, rooftops, lifts, and confined spaces
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Four or more years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience
- Experience with industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or large commercial systems
- Boiler, chiller, controls, refrigeration, or hydronics experience
- OSHA, NATE, HVAC Excellence, or manufacturer certifications
