Job Title: Systems Analyst – C (Advanced)
Work Location: Tallahassee, FL 32301
Contract Term: 6 months+
Position Overview
· The Systems Analyst – C (Advanced) will serve within the Office of Information Technology, supporting business units by leading software development initiatives and facilitating application services focused on complex financial systems.
· This role functions as a lead developer and subject matter expert on large, cross-functional application projects. The selected candidate will analyze and document business processes, evaluate current system effectiveness, identify efficiency opportunities, assist in process redesign, and support development and testing activities.
· The position requires ensuring adherence to software development standards and implementing robust, scalable technical solutions aligned with complex financial business processes.
Scope of Work
- Serve as lead developer, facilitator, and subject matter expert for applications and services supporting complex financial business processes.
- Lead software development efforts and ensure adherence to established development standards.
- Document critical business processes and analyze existing business functions for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in business process re-engineering efforts, including areas impacted by ongoing business transformation.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other developers.
- Support development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise financial applications.
- Ensure implementation of scalable and sustainable technical solutions.
- Assist in development and testing activities across environments.
- Provide guidance and oversight to quality assurance from code inception through integration, staging, and production.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues using troubleshooting tools, techniques, and collaborative approaches.
- Collaborate with architects and development teams to establish roadmaps, standardize methodologies, and improve processes.
- Work in partnership with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure successful project communication and delivery.
- Stay current with software development trends, technologies, and methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
Required Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a lead developer or development manager.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working with development technologies including:
- Azure SQL
- SQL Server
- Oracle or similar relational databases
- Extensive experience developing and maintaining software systems supporting complex financial business processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET technologies.
- Experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools including:
- Entity Framework
- n-Hibernate
Required Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET development.
- Experience with ORM technologies including Entity Framework and n-Hibernate.
- Experience creating reports using:
- SQL
- Power BI
- SSRS
- Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, techniques, and tools.
- Ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions.
- Ability to integrate research and best practices into continuous improvement initiatives.
