Compensation: Up to $72/hour (depending on experience).

This position is focused on creating and delivering scalable business intelligence solutions within a cloud-based data warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will manage the entire BI lifecycle, from data modeling and SQL development to Tableau dashboard delivery and performance enhancement. Strong technical skills, independent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to convert business needs into effective analytics solutions are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create scalable data models, including fact/dimension and star schema, to facilitate enterprise reporting.
- Develop and maintain advanced Tableau dashboards, ensuring they are performant, accurate, and user-friendly.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries within cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Lead or assist in the migration from legacy BI tools or data warehouses to contemporary cloud platforms.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across the analytics stack, including database layers, ETL processes, semantic layers, and dashboards.
- Conduct data validation and apply performance tuning best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Enhance data workflows and reporting processes through automation and improvements.
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics development.
- Proficient in working with cloud data warehouses, specifically Google BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL capabilities, including complex joins, common table expressions (CTEs), performance optimization, and data validation.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, particularly fact/dimension modeling and star schema.
- Extensive experience with Tableau, including complex calculations, level of detail (LOD) expressions, extract management, publishing, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in ETL or data pipeline development.
- Knowledge of Python for automation tasks.
- Exposure to Tableau Server administration.
- Background in supporting financial, operational, or supply chain analytics.
