Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ADA Tester to join our Quality Engineering team supporting enterprise banking applications at Bank of America. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Accessibility (ADA/WCAG) testing, ensuring web and mobile applications comply with accessibility standards and provide an inclusive user experience for individuals with disabilities.

The candidate should possess strong manual testing expertise, familiarity with accessibility testing tools, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, UX designers, and QA teams to identify, document, and resolve accessibility issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end accessibility (ADA) testing for web and mobile applications.
    Validate applications against WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and other accessibility compliance standards.
  • Execute manual accessibility testing using keyboard navigation and screen readers.
    Identify, document, prioritize, and track accessibility defects through resolution.
  • Conduct functional and regression testing while ensuring accessibility compliance is maintained.
  • Collaborate with developers and UX/UI designers to provide remediation guidance for accessibility issues.
  • Review UI designs and provide recommendations to improve accessibility before implementation.
  • Develop and maintain accessibility test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
  • Verify accessibility compliance across multiple browsers, operating systems, and devices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility is integrated throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Required Skills

  • 6–8 years of QA Testing experience with significant focus on Accessibility (ADA) Testing.
    Strong understanding of:
  • ADA Compliance
  • WCAG 2.1/2.2 Guidelines
  • Section 508 Standards
  • WAI-ARIA
  • Hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools such as:
  • JAWS
  • NVDA
  • VoiceOver
  • TalkBack
  • Axe DevTools
  • Accessibility Insights
  • WAVE
  • Lighthouse
  • Experience performing keyboard-only navigation testing.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how accessibility impacts front-end development.
  • Experience creating detailed defect reports with clear remediation recommendations.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
