Job Details
Thinking Minds' client is moving from a mixed ECC landscape toward a unified S/4HANA Finance model, and they're looking for an SAP FICO Lead who enjoys hands-on configuration and cross-team collaboration. Here's what the role feels like day to day:
What the Role Looks Like
You become the go-to partner for Finance teams looking to streamline close cycles, resolve AP/AR issues, or understand cross-module impacts.
Your work spans both ECC and S/4HANA, helping shape a new global Finance template.
One day you're configuring GL, cost centers, internal orders, or payment programs; another, you're supporting billing/GR/IR or costing integrations with SD/MM/PP.
You help map and migrate Finance data for upcoming rollouts and write clear functional specs for development teams.
You work closely with Shared Services, Business Units, technical teams, and global stakeholders-all with different needs and perspectives.
You support the journey toward modern S/4 features like Universal Journal, Business Partners, new Asset Accounting, and harmonized master data.
Why This Role Matters
Your FI/CO design decisions influence Finance processes across the entire organization.
You'll contribute directly to a multi-year global rollout and continuous system improvements.
You'll help Finance users understand what's possible in SAP-turning business needs into efficient, sustainable solutions.
What You'll Bring
Solid experience with FI/CO configuration in both S/4HANA and ECC
Comfort working through full project cycles-requirements, config, testing, go-live
Understanding of key integration points with SD, MM, and PP
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset
Work Style
Remote within the region, with occasional travel for key workshops or training
Fast-moving at times but highly collaborative and supportive environment
