Position: Product Development Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated PDE Engineer to support extended factory operations during night, swing, and weekend shifts. The ideal candidate should have strong server platform debugging experience, Linux command-line knowledge, and an understanding of high-performance server and networking architectures. This role involves failure analysis, throughput monitoring, hardware triage, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support extended factory operations during night, swing, and weekend shifts.
• Review build dashboards to analyze throughput, yields, and failure paretos.
• Debug server platforms based on published engineering guidelines.
• Perform minor hardware rework, retesting, and system recovery activities.
• Publish clear and detailed daily build status and progress reports.
• Analyze failures and provide next-step triage instructions for failed units.
• Maintain high test throughput during off-hours and proactively resolve production roadblockns.
• Work closely with CM Test Engineers and factory operators to ensure assembly and test plans are properly followed.
• Execute pretest scripts and diagnostics on test fixtures.
• Review log files and make initial failure triage decisions based on Product Development Engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams and contract manufacturers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Engineering (CE).
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience supporting server systems or hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux command-line operations, running commands, and analyzing outputs.
• General understanding of server system architecture and networking components including:
Compute trays
Switch trays
TOR switches
Power shelves
• Ability to run diagnostics and pretest scripts on hardware test fixtures.
• Experience reviewing log files and performing initial failure triage.
• Strong multitasking, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Computer Architecture
• Prior board-level or system-level electrical design experience.
• Working knowledge of complex high-performance server and networking platforms.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, validation, or product engineering environments is a plus.
