Job Description

Based primarily in Kinston, NC, with travel to Mobile, AL, our future
Engagement Manager will support a portfolio of approximately 60 consultants delivering services in IT, PMO, Production, and Supply Chain.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting major aerospace manufacturing operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Client Management & Relationship, Financial & Contract Management



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client across the engagement;

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders;

  • Understand client needs, expectations, and pain points;

  • Anticipate client satisfaction risks and manage escalations;

  • Identify opportunities to expand the scope of services;

  • Maintain regular communication on progress, risks, issues, and decisions;

  • Monitor actuals vs. forecast;

  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing;

  • Monitor POs, contracts, extensions, and scope changes;

  • Identify and manage gaps between contractual scope and actual delivery;

  • Support contract renewals and negotiations.



  1. Delivery Management



  • Ensure end-to-end delivery quality across the teams;

  • Monitor team's performance regarding deliverables, contractual commitments, SLAs and KPIs;

  • Establish and manage governance routines (weekly progress reports, internal & external meetings);

  • Identify and resolve operational issues;

  • Anticipate delivery risks and drive corrective action plans;

  • Ensure compliance with internal and client processes.



  1. Team & People Management, Staffing & Capacity Management



  • Lead and support the consultants;

  • Support recruitment and candidate selection;

  • Ensure effective onboarding and ramp-up;

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback;

  • Support employee development and career progression;

  • Identify training and skill development needs;

  • Address performance, behavioral, and conflict-related situations;

  • Maintain employee engagement and retention;

  • Anticipate resource needs;

  • Identify capacity and skill gaps;

  • Coordinate recruiting, internal mobility, and resource allocation;

  • Anticipate backfills and transitions;

  • Ensure business continuity and adequate coverage.



  1. Governance, Reporting & Performance



  • Establish and maintain management dashboards (SQWAL);

  • Prepare and lead progress reviews;

  • Track actions, decisions, risks, and opportunities;

  • Provide internal and client-facing reporting;

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.



Qualifications

REQUIRED PROFILE:


  • Previous experience in PMO functions within an industrial environment or similar;

  • Proven experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams;

  • Strong skills in project planning, monitoring, risk management, and stakeholder coordination;

  • Ability to thrive in complex environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously;

  • Highly hands-on profile with the ability to engage directly in operational issues and problem-solving;

  • Results-oriented mindset with strong execution and decision-making capabilities;

  • Experience with manufacturing processes (an asset) and continuous improvement initiatives;

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills;

  • Willingness and ability to travel to Mobile, AL;

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
