We are seeking an experienced IT Software Engineer 5 to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud-native applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, deep expertise in Java/Spring Boot microservices, and hands-on experience with modern cloud, DevOps, and distributed system architectures.

Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor software engineers in delivering business-critical applications.
Drive architecture decisions, cloud modernization, and engineering best practices.
Ensure scalability, security, performance, and reliability of solutions.
Champion DevOps, automation, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and stakeholders to achieve business goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Required)
15+ years of software engineering experience
5+ years in a technical leadership role
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Candidates located in or near Chicago, IL
Availability for occasional travel as needed
Stable work history with strong tenure.
