The OpportunityWe are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Montague that are seeking skilled NPI Engineers. Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introduction.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related issues.
- Manage and execute engineering change orders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flows.
- Participate in design reviews and provide early DFM/DFA feedback.
- Support pilot builds and production ramp-up activities.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in NPI processes.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing engineering within a high-volume production environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, Gerber files, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT, wave solder, and final assembly.
- Experience with DFM/DFT analysis and implementing improvements for manufacturability.
- Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, SolidWorks) for design review and analysis.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) for manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and their integration with manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of data visualization tools and techniques for presenting complex technical information.
- Background in Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other continuous improvement frameworks.
