Our client is undergoing a digital transformation to modernize its enterprise data platform. As part of this initiative, they are seeking an experienced Data Governance / Data Quality Engineer to support the design and implementation of data governance, data quality, and lineage solutions using Collibra and Azure-based platforms.

This role will work closely with Data Strategy, Business, and Data Engineering teams to ensure high-quality, governed, and trusted data across key domains such as Reference Data, Market Data, and Operational Data.

Role Objectives
  • Support enterprise data governance and data quality initiatives across critical data domains.
  • Implement and enhance Collibra-based governance and data quality capabilities.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, and metadata management are embedded into the data platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, governed data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules using Collibra DQ.
  • Implement and manage data governance assets, including business glossary, data catalog, and stewardship workflows.
  • Support data lineage mapping across systems and pipelines.
  • Perform data profiling, validation, and issue analysis using SQL.
  • Integrate Collibra with the Azure data platform (ADF, Databricks, Data Lake).
  • Develop automation and utilities using Python or similar programming languages.
  • Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Engineers to define and enforce data quality controls.
  • Ensure code promotion using CI/CD, version control (Git), and deployment best practices.
  • Maintain documentation and governance artifacts in tools such as Confluence and source code repositories.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, including financial instruments, asset classes, and market data, is a plus.
