Mainframe Systems Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Systems Analyst with a strong mainframe background to lead critical data transition initiatives. In this role, you will analyze existing mainframe batch reporting flows, evaluate data sources, and dissect underlying business logic to support reporting availability in WealthScape. You will act as a key bridge between legacy systems and modern reporting platforms, performing end-to-end data analysis and collaborating directly with data modelers to define off-mainframe operational database table structures and schemas.

Key Responsibilities

• Mainframe & Batch Analysis: Analyze existing mainframe batch reporting flows, trace data sources, and evaluate complex business logic used to generate reports.
• Off-Mainframe Data Enablement: Define and drive data requirements needed off the mainframe into our operational database to support WealthScape reporting capabilities.
• Data Modeling Support: Conduct deep-dive data analysis and partner closely with data modelers to establish optimal table structures, data mappings, and schema designs.
• System Integration & Feasibility: Conduct gap analysis, systems feasibility, and impact analysis across complex multi-application and multi-pattern environments.
• Agile Execution: Develop user stories, story maps, use cases, and flowcharts while actively participating in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional planning.
• Collaboration & Quality: Partner with technical groups, COEs, and business stakeholders across a matrixed environment while supporting UAT and test automation practices.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 5+ years of Systems Analysis experience within IT, financial services, or a related environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Preferred Background: Strong background as a Mainframe Developer or hands-on experience working directly with mainframe legacy architectures, batch flows, and data structures.
• Data Analysis & Mapping: Proven experience in data analysis, data mapping, systems feasibility, gap analysis, use case development, and user acceptance testing.
• Technical Breadth: Knowledge of API Development, Cloud platforms (AWS), Data Design, Batch Processing, Event Processing, and Workflow/Process Automation is strongly preferred.
• Financial Domain Knowledge: Exposure to financial services or wealth management platforms (such as WealthScape) is highly desirable.
• Agile & Execution: Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies and demonstrated success working across multi-functional, matrixed teams and technical COEs.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding analytical, facilitation, communication, negotiation, and technical problem-solving capabilities
