Job Title: Java Spark Developer

Location: McLean, VA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)
Duration: Contract (Approved through End of Year, possible extension)
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Lead Developer to support a key data integration initiative between Client and Client. The ideal candidate will lead development efforts focused on scalable, cloud-based data processing and integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and big data technologies
• Build and manage data pipelines using Spark
• Develop and orchestrate workflows with AWS Glue and Step Functions
• Work with databases including PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and best practice guidance

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Java development
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark
• Working knowledge of AWS Glue and Step Functions
• Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
• Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures (AWS preferred)

Additional Information:

• Hybrid Model: 3 days per week in-office (McLean, VA). Friday is remote
