Job DetailsKey Responsibilities
- Lead food safety and quality improvement projects across multiple manufacturing sites
- Support scale-up of R&D formulations into commercial production environments
- Develop and improve process controls, specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing documentation
- Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives focused on defect reduction, process optimization, and customer complaint reduction
- Train and mentor FSQA teams on continuous improvement methodologies and best practices
- Partner with Engineering teams on sanitary design, equipment installations, and manufacturing process improvements
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, FSMA, GFSI, USDA, FDA, and customer-specific requirements
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality and food safety issues
- Provide technical support and respond to customer inquiries related to food safety and quality systems
- Travel to manufacturing plants and partner locations to support implementation and execution activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or related scientific discipline
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience within Food & Beverage environments
- Strong experience in process improvement, quality systems, and food safety programs
- Hands-on knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, GFSI, 9 CFR, and 21 CFR regulations
- Experience leading projects and influencing cross-functional teams
- Lean Six Sigma or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification highly preferred
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
- Comfortable with regular travel to manufacturing sites
