Location-Remote

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Apache NiFi to design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration and data pipeline solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust ETL/ELT workflows, optimize data movement, and support enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion and integration workflows using Apache NiFi.
Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and streaming systems.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize NiFi workflows for performance and reliability.
Implement data validation, transformation, and cleansing processes.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements.
Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards are followed.
Support deployment automation and CI/CD processes for data engineering workflows.
Create technical documentation and provide operational support.
Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and production support activities.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Apache NiFi.
Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and data integration concepts.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Java.
Understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts.
Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools.
